You can use app-specific passwords as a secure alternative to your account password when integrating put.io with other services or tools such as FTP and WebDAV.

1- Go to Account and click on App-specific Passwords. Here's a link that'll take you there directly: https://app.put.io/account/app-specific-passwords

2- Click on Create One.

3- A pop-up window will appear where you can name your password to remember its purpose. Once you've entered a name, click Continue.

4- Your app-specific password is now generated and ready to use. Make sure to store it in a secure place, as it will not be displayed again after this point. You can one-click copy the password with the clipboard icon.

P.S.: If you have 2FA enabled, don't combine the app-specific password with your OTP. You should only type in your app-specific password for it to work. ✌️
