What is a 'route'?

Alternate routes are our attempt to manipulate inter-ISP peerings. When you set an alternate route, your stream and download traffic is routed over that server instead of the default route your ISP chooses for you.

It's a server that is geographically located somewhere else, whose only job is pulling data from our servers and pushing it to you.

Choosing a route close to your location may help your downloading/streaming performance immensely.

We strongly suggest running our homemade speed test and setting your route whenever you experience a speed issue. You can run the test as many times as you like.

We will be adding more routes in the future depending on your needs.
