Broken or invalid zip file

Issue: Some zip files that have been downloaded via "Download Selected" feature seem to be broken or invalid. This only occurs downloading from Put.io to your own computer.

Cause: Unkown at the moment
Status: Still investigating

Solution: Here are some recommendations:

• Don't use Download Managers to download zip files from Put.io. Prefer browser's download option.
• Try to keep the zip size below 2G.
• If somehow you get the broken zip, do not delete it. Try repairing the archive file via your favourite archiving software (such as WinRAR, WinZip, etc.) Repair operations fix the problem most of the time on our case.
• Download files separately if possible to avoid the problem.

Apart from Download Selected feature, you can use download managers without a worry.

To help us solve this issue, please add following information with your bug report:

• Put.io link of the broken zip file
• Your browser name and the version
• Whether you used a download manager or not
• Include the download managers log file about the broken file if possible.
• Your OS name and architecture if possible (32-bits or 64-bits)
• Name of the archiving software you've tried to extract the file.
