What is Bittorrent seeding ratio?

Bittorrent is a p2p technology. This means the data you are downloading comes from other peers and not from a server. So for the community to continue thriving, everybody should give at least as much as they have taken. The ratio of what you've taken to what you've given is called simply "the ratio".

Put.io seeds the Bittorrent files until the ratio is 1:1. This means, we will upload at least the same amount of the file we're getting for you. If the torrent is not healthy we seed even more.
