Hi there,

Has Put.io considered hosting a server in Oceania to serve the users down-under?

The speed from Put.io is very temperamental with having to cover large distances from Northern Hemisphere servers to Southern Hemisphere clients. Oceania covers a wide area and includes such countries as Australia, New Zealand, and various other countries. Oceania has a population of around 35,670,000. A server in Oceania could also facilitate clients based in East Asia and Southeast Asia. An increase in speed and speed stability with a closer server will definitely secure more potential customers. The one issue people from the Sothern Hemisphere have is that all the major servers are quite far away and speed is majorly compromised when the load is med-heavy.

Cheers

Hello Subway, sorry it took me so long to respond.

Yes, of course we would love to put an alternate route in Oceania. But we couldn't find any good (and a little cheap, I must say) ISP's there. Do you know of any?

We will need a couple of TB's of bandwidth, a gigabit port and a decent server for starters and we can pay about $200/m
