Hello guys,

I had absolutely no problem using the "zip selected" function until the latest update that is supposed to have fixed issues for several users. Unfortunately the said update completely broke it for me and I am now completely unable to download any zip file. The download starts, then breaks, and the downloaded .zip file is incomplete.

I'm willing to help if some more details are needed, but as for now this feature is unusable for me.

Thanks for your support.

    Hello kwyxz and iArash,

After we changed to our new ZIP architecture, we started to face unexpected server problems which also resulted as unresponding servers. Your failed downloads might probably be related with these kind of shortages (this is a guess for now).

Currently we're working on these problems to make the best experience and as part of the solution, I've just increased some limits on our servers which we lowered earlier this morning to stabilize our system.

If you still have some problems such as failed downloads, please give us the links you're trying to download, write more feedback about what you do exactly and what happens as a result.

Thanks for your patience and sorry for any inconvenience you may have.

Thanks for the reply tunix. I managed to download my files by getting them one after another. I'll try again later and will let you know how it goes.

    Hi Tunix,

With this server : https://fr03.put.io/zip-stream/ the download stop at 66,67%. With the other like : https://frc04.put.io/zip-stream/ and https://frb01.put.io/stream-basket/ there is no problems.

This comment was split into a new private discussion: "zip" feature now unusable

https://frc04.put.io/ just stopped at 75%. (until five minutes ago, dl problem had been solved but this server failed)

it seems that the problem does not occur if the downloading file is not that big (for instance, I just downloaded a 106 mb file right now)

I can't download anything, even without using zip feature from frb03.put.io. I have tried changing servers but there has been no change. I was downloading http://put.io/file/12499813 but it is now stopped at %3. We're wasting our bandwidth with the errors of your service.

I tried the new zip service as you suggested it but the downloaded file is corrupt and I still lost bandwidth. It was never reliable but now it is even worse.

    Hey guys,
Unfortunately the new system didn't work properly and we've rolled back the update. The zip stream links created between 17th and 19th of Jan will not work.

The new zip mechanism created a very high local network traffic and caused temporary paralysis of the whole system. That's why download and stream links did work on and off.

Everything should be working fine at the moment.

Now what we are going to do is, improve the old system with what we learned from the new one in the following days.

PS. If you lost some bandwidth testing this feature, please let us know so we can reimburse it.

Thanks for your patience and feedback.
    Cem
