Sometimes when I convert (on put.io) an avi to mp4, it takes no time and says it's available
(from someone else having already converted it? I wondered). Then - and I'm not sure if it's related - when I download the mp4 I get a message "invalid public movie atom" in quicktime. I tried converting the avi sample of the same movie. It took time and when I downloaded it it played.

Now I just converted another avi that also "converted" instantly, downloaded the mp4 and it plays...

I believe you are right when you say that no-time conversion happen when someone else already converted the same file.

    Hey Chris,
Some files we convert get the "invalid movie atom" error by Quicktime, you are right. This is one of the issues we are looking into. I can give a time frame, but it's on our list.

Thanks for contacting us. We may ask further questions about this later.

    Best regards,
    Cem
