The official put.io channel for Plex should be available in the Plex channel store, so you should be able to install it from there. After it is installed, on first use, you need to link it to your account. You can get the access token by visiting http://put.io/v2/oauth2/authenticate?client_id=28&response_type=oob&redirect_uri=na and entering the displayed token in the dialog: http://cl.ly/RC6y Then you will be able to acces your put.io data with any Plex client.

However, sometimes the version in the store doesn't have the most recent fixes or updates to the code. So, if you want to install the latest and greatest, please follow the following steps to install the channel from source:

  1. Download the code from Github: https://github.com/putdotio/Put.io.bundle/archive/master.zip
  2. Then extract the zip file and rename the folder to “Put.io.bundle”.
  3. Move extracted folder the Plex Media Server’s plugins folder:
    Mac: /Users/***Username***/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Plug-ins
(your ~/Library might be hidden. If it is, run this command in a Terminal window: chflags nohidden /users/[username]/library)
    Linux: /var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Plug-ins
    Windows: C:\Users\***Your User Name***\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Plug-ins
    Synology NAS: /volume1/Plex/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Plug-ins
  4. Reload the Plex Media Server. You’ll be able to see the put.io plugin in the Plex web interface. Follow the steps above to generate the authentication token to set it up.
